Totally renovated farm cottage in a peaceful village in the heart of Burgundy. We are very proud to have a 3 Star Award from Burgundy Tourism. A perfect base for exploring the local area. Ideal for walkers, wine lovers, cyclists and those wishing to get away from it all. This house was built in 1826 but has undergone a total renovation which was completed in 2017. There are 2 double bedrooms, each with their own staircase and a shared bathroom. Downstairs offers a cosy sitting room, WC and a fully fitted, modern kitchen. Heating is by electric radiators and a charming wood stove in the kitchen. There is an above ground (unheated) circular pool, 5 metres in diameter and approx 1 metre deep. You will have exclusive use of this during your stay. The pool will be available during the summer months.

Natuur en omgeving

PUITS is a quiet village of 140 inhabitants in the north of Cote d'Or. There is no commerce in the village, but the next village (3 km) has a small shop (which sells bread, croissants and essential supplies) and a cafe/restaurant. The nearby market towns of Chatillon-sur-Seine and Montbard (both 15 km away) offer all the usual facilities of supermarkets, banks and restaurants. Montbard has a train station with access to the TGV service to Paris (1 hour). For wine lovers, the area sits just 30 minutes from the Champagne region, 40 minutes from Chablis and an hour from Beaune. Food lovers may choose from a number of local restaurants and markets. If you are a cyclist then the endless traffic-free roads will appeal and as keen cyclists ourselves (road and MTB/VTT) then we'd be happy to recommend some routes. The walking routes in the area are excellent, or perhaps you wish to relax in the garden, or in front of the log burner with a good book!
